2.75" closed. The master blade is about full w/ signs of light sharpening, some nominal scratches. It has light snap, no wiggles. The other 3 blades are sluggish, have no real snaps, and have some slight wiggles when open. The tip of the screwdriver blade is broken, and it is slightly bent, making it difficult to get a finger nail down into the nail nick on the scissors. It is a lot easier to simply open the screwdriver and then engage the scissors directly. These scissors are mechanically excellent with the original tension spring. The celluloid handles are great.
